Ultrasound Scans

Ultrasound scans are performed by female medical professionals in order to:

• Detect fetal heart beat
• Determine fetal age
• Determine approximate due date
• Determine the location of pregnancy (intrauterine v. ectopic)

Please note that the limited obstetric ultrasound scan is not intended to diagnose potential abnormalities or problems.

Ultrasound scans are offered at each of our Women’s Center locations.  Availability varies at each location.  Women must first come in for a pregnancy test and if positive, will be scheduled for an ultrasound scan.  Ultrasound scans are currently offered free of charge.
